Return Window
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
For customers in the European Union, you have a 14-day cooling-off period (see section below).
Return Eligibility
- Item must be in the same condition you received it.
- Unworn/unused, with tags (if applicable), and in original packaging (if applicable).
- Used or Like New items must match their original posted condition at the time of sale.
- You must have a receipt or proof of purchase.
Item Condition Definitions
- AS IS — Untested, broken, flawed, or missing pieces. Often non-returnable (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
- USED — Shows visible wear and tear from prior use.
- LIKE NEW — May have been used minimally; no significant signs of wear; fully functional; no missing parts.
- NEW — Never used, no signs of prior use. May or may not have original packaging/tags. If unsure, item typically listed as LIKE NEW.
Please note: Minor cosmetic wear consistent with an item’s age or prior use is not considered a defect for return purposes.
How to Start a Return
- Contact us at kayla@2genthriftllc.com to request a return.
- Wait for return approval and instructions.
- If approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label (unless otherwise stated) and details on where to send your package.
- Ship your return to the address provided in your return approval email and on your return shipping label.
- Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
Return Shipping Costs
- If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective item, or unplayable video game), we cover return shipping.
- If the return is due to change of mind or other non-defect reasons, return shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.
Damages & Issues
Inspect your order immediately upon arrival. Contact us right away if your item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong item so we can make it right.
We inspect all items before listing for accuracy and transparency, but please remember most items are USED, LIKE NEW, or AS IS.
Video Game Returns
- All untested used video games may be returned within 30 days for a full refund if received damaged or unplayable.
- We accept returns on any disc unreadable or damaged upon arrival.
Non-Returnable Items
- Perishable goods (food, flowers, plants)
- Personal care items (beauty products, shampoos, etc.)
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- AS IS items (unless otherwise approved in writing)
- Sale items
- Gift cards
European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is shipped to the EU:
- You may cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason.
- Items must meet the same condition requirements listed under “Return Eligibility.”
Partial Refunds
Items returned not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error may be eligible for a partial refund.
Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you if the refund is approved.
- If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
- Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
